Jasmin appealed to the law enforcers and the security guard to release her because she didn't know that it was against the law to joke about bombs. The Senior Police Officer 1 Rommel Opporto has said that Jasmin will be detained and will also be charged for violationg the Presidential Decree 1727.
Presidential Decree 1727 is about barring the malicious dissemination of false information about bombs, or making threats concerning bombs, explosives, or similar devices. Those who will violate the PD 1727 aren't entitled to bail the pending trial, and if he/she is found guilty, they can be imprisoned for five years at max or fined P40,000 or even punished with both. The PD 1727 was signed by the former President Ferdinand Marcos in the year 1980.
Since the courts will be closed until Monday because of a long weekend in Cebu, the Case for Jasmin will be filed on Tuesday.
