Good News to all Hard Working Mothers Out There! There has been a bill that has been passed in the House of Representatives. The Committee on Women and Gender Equality has proposed a bill that is asking to increase the currently 60-day maternity leave to 100 days with pay!

The 100 Days Maternity Leave Law, a.k.a. House Bill 4113 covers all the female workers in the Philippines, regardless of their civil status (married or single), those with pending administrative cases, and even those who are non-members of the Social Security System (SSS). It also ensures to secure the tenure of female workers. They also emphasized that the maternity leave shouldn't be a basis for demotion or a deduction in rank/status/salary.
